Dale Women travel to Hyde United FC Ladies this Sunday in what is their first game of 2024.
Lee Atkinson’s side were last in action on December 17th as they beat Athletico Middleton Ladies 2-1 in the quarter-final of the League Premier Cup.
This will be Dale’s third Greater Manchester Women's Football League game after beating Mancunian United Women Reserves 2-1 and Tiki Taka Women 14-1 previously.
“It’s a massive game for us to look forward to,” said Atkinson.
“Hyde have started the season in incredible form, losing only one game so far and winning five.
“We know that we will have to be at our best this weekend, and we want to start 2024 on the front foot.
“The quarter-final of the Lancashire County Cup has also been drawn recently. We will face Wigan Athletic at home on the 21st of January.”
Kick-off this Sunday at the Project Solar Stadium [Walker Ln, Hyde SK14 5PL] is at 12:30pm.
