Dale travel to the DW Stadium on Saturday, to take on promotion chasing Wigan Athletic in Sky Bet League One.
Latics caused a huge FA Cup upset of their own on Monday night, beating runaway Premier League leaders Manchester City 1-0 to advance to the quarter-finals.
They are currently third in the League One table, but are just three points off leaders Blackburn Rovers with three games in hand.
Dale’s goalless draw against MK Dons on Wednesday night moved Keith Hill’s side off the bottom of League One, ten points from safety but with four games in hand on 20th placed Fleetwood Town. Rochdale have now only lost one in their last six games in all competitions.
