Born: Liverpool, 6th October 1993
Joe is a right-back who moved to the Crown Oil Arena in July 2012 on a free transfer from Liverpool and is one of the longest serving players in the Dale squad. He is contracted to the club until the summer of 2019.
The 24-year-old was the captain of Liverpool’s U18 side in 2011/12, playing 26 out of 29 Academy games as The Reds finished third in the league table.
Also capable of playing in the centre of defence and in midfield, Joe made his Dale debut as a substitute against Fleetwood in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy, before getting his first start in the league win at AFC Wimbledon.
Rafferty has now made over 200 appearances for the club.
