Max is a central defender who left Manchester United at the end of the 2020/21 season to pursue new opportunities, at which point he penned an initial one-year deal at the Crown Oil Arena.
After impressive performances in the opening month of last term, that contract was extended to summer 2023.
The 22-year-old, a product of United’s Academy, progressed through the youth ranks at Old Trafford, featuring at U18 and U23 levels.
He was on the first team bench for United’s Europa League tie with Astana in 2019 and featured twice for The Red Devils in the EFL Trophy.
Max spent the 2020/21 campaign on loan at Kidderminster Harriers.
