Kyle is a central defender who joined Dale on a free transfer from Harrogate Town in June 2023.
The son of Rangers legend Barry Ferguson, Kyle spent time in the youth academy at Ibrox, as well as Kilmarnock and Airdrieonians.
He made his professional debut at the age of 16 for Clyde, before moving across the pond to the USA in 2017, where he played college football for Medaille University in Buffalo, New York.
A brief spell in Sweden with Second Division Ytterhogdals IK followed, after which the Ferguson spent a year in Ireland with Waterford.
He impressed with The Blues and caught the eye of Altrincham, whom he joined in February 2022.
An impressive end to the 2021/22 campaign led to a move to Harrogate, where Kyle made eight appearances last term, including in their 4-1 win at the Crown Oil Arena.
Ferguson re-joined Altrincham on loan in March 2023 and made ten appearances before the end of the campaign.
