McNulty On Eastleigh

15 March 2024

Jimmy McNulty is expecting a tough test at Eastleigh on Saturday but is confident Dale can take all three points.

His side ran out 2-1 winners in midweek against Woking at the Crown Oil Arena, thanks to Devante Rodney’s late free-kick.

This weekend’s opponents have taken ten points from their last four games, and having had 14 days without a match, the Head Coach believes they will be raring to go on Saturday.

“They are a team full of firepower and have the league’s top marksman [Paul McCallum],” said McNulty.

“They’ve been moving along nicely since the new manager [Kelvin Davies] went in.

“They’ve been without a game for 14 days, so they’ll be fresh and raring to go. They were in good form before that and have really turned their season around.

“Eastleigh are a club with firepower financially and have been for a few years in this division. They have a healthy budget and get good players through the door.

“They were a handful in the first game and have been a handful for most teams recently. We’ll prepare for them as best we can, giving them the full respect that we give every team. But, like every game, we think we can win it.”
