Dale Women return to league action this weekend when they take on Atherton Laburnum Rovers Ladies on Sunday.
Lee Atkinson’s side have already knocked their opponents out of two competitions this season, but Atherton do sit top of the league table, having won eight and drawn one of their ten matches so far.
“I’m expecting our toughest game of the season so far,” commented Manager Lee Atkinson.
“Atherton are the current league leaders, and we know they will be out for revenge after we knocked them out of the Premier Cup and Challenge Cup.
“We have to make sure we’re ready for the game and we come off the back of a fantastic second-half performance against Middleton Athletico Ladies last weekend. The group just keeps on getting stronger.
“Our league form has been a little stop-start, but we know a result this weekend can really change things. We have an incredibly tough run ahead, but the players will meet it head-on and give it everything from now until the end of the season.”
The match will take place at Kingsway High School (OL16 4XA) on Sunday 24th March, with kick-off at 1.30pm.
