THE OPPOSITION
Altrincham are enjoying a fine campaign so far, sitting fifth in the National League table.
They have lost just twice at home in the league and fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at runaway league leaders Chesterfield last time out.
In Chris Conn-Clarke, they have the fourth highest goalscorer in the National League, on 14 goals.

HEAD-TO-HEAD
Tuesday’s game will be only the fourth meeting between the two clubs.
The match earlier in the season, when Dale ran out 3-0 winners at home to the Robins, was the first meeting in league action.
Prior to that, the previous games came in the FA Cup, with Altrincham running out winners on both occasions. They won 3-1 in the 1965/66 second round, and 2-1 in the first round of the 1982/83 competition.
