INTERVIEWS

We caught with Harvey Gilmour ahead of Saturday's trip. He spoke about returning players and looked ahead to the weekend.

Also, Ryan East appeared on BBC Radio Manchester's Total Sport show on Thursday night to look ahead to the game.

THE OPPOSITION

Altrincham are enjoying a fine campaign so far, sitting fifth in the National League table.

They have lost just twice at home in the league and were 1-0 winners at fellow playoff contenders Solihull Moors last time out.

In Chris Conn-Clarke, they have the sixth highest goalscorer in the National League, on 15 league  goals.

GROUND GUIDE

For a guide on Altrincham's stadium, visit their website. It is Dale's first visit there in 41 years.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Saturday’s game will be only the fourth meeting between the two clubs.

The match earlier in the season, when Dale ran out 3-0 winners at home to the Robins, was the first meeting in league action.

Prior to that, the previous games came in the FA Cup, with Altrincham running out winners on both occasions. They won 3-1 in the 1965/66 second round, and 2-1 in the first round of the 1982/83 competition.

FLASHBACK

MAN IN THE MIDDLE

Steven Copeland will be the referee for Saturday’s game.

Steven Lawson and Tom Wall are the assistant referees, with Callum Jones as the fourth official.
