THE OPPOSITION

Altrincham sit sixth in the National League table after an impressive start to the campaign, which has seen them lose just three times in 19 games.

They are in their fourth consecutive season at the level and have added a whole host of players to their ranks this season, including former Dale man Alex Newby, who is on loan from Colchester United.

Prior to Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Eastleigh, The Robins were ten games unbeaten in the league.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

This will be only the third meeting between the two clubs.

The previous games came in the FA Cup, with Altrincham running out winners on both occasions. They won 3-1 in the 1965/66 second round, and 2-1 in the first round of the 1982/83 competition.

MAN IN THE MIDDLE

Gareth Rhodes will be the referee for Saturday’s game. He is in his sixth season at National League level.

Matthew Bacon and William Cavanagh are the assistant referees, with Oliver Noonan as the fourth official.
