THE OPPOSITION
Aldershot hav been a National League club since their relegation from the EFL back in 2013.
They reached the playoffs in 2018, but haven't had a top-half finish since then.
However, they have enjoyed a strong start to the current campaign and currently sit in 6th position.
They made headlines a fortnight ago with a 7-4 win at League Two side Swindon Town, having taken a 7-0 lead.
Joshua Stokes, who signed from AFC Sudbury in the summer, is their top scorer with nine league goals.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
This will be the first meeting between the sides since August 2019.
There have been 57 matches, with 21 wins for Dale, 19 for Aldershot, and 17 draws.

MAN IN THE MIDDLE
Aaron Bannister will be the referee for Saturday’s game. It is his second season at National League level.
Curtis Wood and Tom Wall are the assistant referees, with Melissa Burgin as the fourth official.
