Leyton Orient: Preview

26 September 2014

Following two successive home fixtures, Dale are back on the road this weekend with a trip to Leyton Orient’s Matchroom Stadium.

The squad set off on the 440 mile round trip to London on Friday morning.

Dale head into the encounter on the back of two successive home wins – the 4-0 victory over Walsall and the 1-0 win over Coventry City. Saturday’s opponents picked up a draw and a win in their last two league encounters following a 1-1 draw with Notts County and a 2-1 win over Scunthorpe United. They were in League Cup third round action on Tuesday night and exited the competition after conceding a solitary goal against Sheffield United.

Dale have no new injury worries ahead of the fixture, however, Manager Keith Hill will be without the suspended Joe Rafferty, who picked up his fifth yellow card of the season last Saturday.

The O’s Assistant manager Kevin Nugent will take control of Leyton Orient for the game following the resignation of Russell Slade on Wednesday.

Nugent will assess Goalkeeper Adam Legzdins and defender Scott Cuthbert ahead of the match, while striker Kevin Lisbie is a long-term absentee.
