npower League Two: Rochdale v AFC Wimbledon
Spotland, January 5th 2013, 3pm kick-off
Rochdale return to action this Saturday as they welcome AFC Wimbledon to Spotland.
The match marks Dale’s second home match this week following the New Year’s Day clash against Rotherham United.
Two late goals from The Millers stunned Dale after they came from a goal behind to emerge victorious from the fiery encounter. Ashley Grimes had given Rochdale the lead shortly before the half hour, but Dale were forced to defend their advantage during a second half dominated by the visitors. Rotherham levelled on 78 minutes when Kayode Odejayi netted from a corner kick, and they sealed the three points in injury time through Courtney Cameron.
Meanwhile, bottom of the table Wimbledon will arrive at Spotland buoyed by their New Year’s Day win over Torquay United. The 3-2 win over the Gulls marked their first league win in seven matches.
Manager John Coleman will be without Ryan Edwards for the encounter after the youngster returned to his parent club, Blackburn Rovers, following the end of his loan spell at Rochdale. Edwards featured in all but one of Dale’s fixtures during his time at the club and only missed out on the FA Cup replay against Morecambe due to suspension.
The Wombles' Bryon Harrison and Sammy Moore will miss out through injury.
