Rochdale are back on the road this weekend with a trip to Northampton Town’s Sixfields Stadium.
Dale head into the encounter following last weekend’s 1-1 draw at home to Chesterfield, while the Cobblers went down 3-1 away at Rotherham United’s New York Stadium.
Despite Saturday’s defeat, eighth placed Northampton remain within touching distance of the play-offs, with just a point separating them from Exeter City who are seventh in the table.
Manager Keith Hill will be without the suspended Bobby Grant for the fixture as the striker serves the first of a four match ban following his sending off in last weekend’s match against the Spireites. Hill’s counterpart, Aidy Boothroyd, is likely to be without defender David Artell who has an achilles injury, however new signing Lee Collins who joined the Cobblers on Friday following his release from Barnsley, is eligible for the fixture.
