Rochdale are back on the road tomorrow, in the first of back-to-back away trips, heading to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on Doncaster Rovers.

Donny curently occupy ninth place in Sky Bet League One, with Darren Moore's side looking to finish the season strongly.

However, Brian Barry-Murphy's men will be hoping to halt an early play-off push tomorrow.

Report | Doncaster Rovers 1-1 Dale

Ollie Rathbone’s third goal of the season earned Dale a 1-1 draw at Doncaster Rovers.

A goal inside the opening minute from Jon Taylor saw Dale trail, but they responded well and had the better of the game from there on.

The deserved equaliser came nine minutes from time when Rathbone found the bottom corner from outside the area, earning Dale a point.

Brian Barry-Murphy made three changes to the starting line-up from last weekend’s win over Shrewsbury Town.

Luke Matheson and Matty Done returned to the starting line-up, with deadline day signing Matty Lund making his second Dale debut.

The visitors got off to the worst possible start when Kieran Sadlier’s ball into the area brushed off the chest of Taylor, before sneaking inside the far post and beyond the despairing dive of Robert Sánchez.

Dale responded well and had the majority of possession after the opener. Jimmy Ryan fired a volley wide and Rathbone sent a first-time effort over from the edge of the area after neat build-up play.

Sadlier fired an effort off the face of the upright, before Paul McShane struck the woodwork at the other end with a header from Done’s corner.

Joe Wright sent a header wide from a Doncaster corner before Sánchez made a good save from Taylor’s fierce effort.

Straight after the break, the hosts almost grabbed another quick goal, as a low cross from the left was turned onto the post by Eoghan O’Connell, before Devante Cole fired over from close range.

Ryan fired an effort narrowly past the far post from 25-yards before O’Connell had to clear off the line from a poke goalwards.

The equaliser came from a fine passage of build-up play from Dale. Ian Henderson’s deft first touch found Rathbone on the halfway line, who drove forward.

Doncaster’s defence allowed the midfielder to reach the final third and from 25-yards he found the bottom corner in front of the jubilant Dale fans.

He then saw a poked effort well blocked whilst Sánchez held on to a Sadlier strike at the other end, as the sides shared the spoils at the Keepmoat Stadium.
