The Rochdale AFC Board of Directors can confirm, prior to tomorrow evening's vital EGM, that all proposed resolutions will be decided by a poll vote.
Whilst it has often been convention to vote with a show of hands at meetings of this nature, on this occasion, more than the required threshold of five members have demanded that all votes be taken via a poll, and as such, this will now be actioned.
In practical terms, a poll vote means that each ordinary shareholder present in person or by proxy has one vote for every ordinary share that they own. The owner of one share will have one vote, the owner of 100 shares will have 100 votes, the owner of 1000 shares will have 1000 votes, and so on. A vote via a show of hands would have meant that each ordinary shareholder present in person or by proxy had one vote, regardless of how many shares that shareholder owned.
The Rochdale AFC Board of Directors again wishes to take this opportunity to encourage all shareholders to vote in favour of all proposed resolutions. An update will be shared immediately after the conclusion of the EGM tomorrow evening.
