Dale Women's Semi-Final Rescheduled For Sunday

8 March 2024

Dale Women's Premier Cup semi-final has been rescheduled for this Sunday following the serious injury to Rebecca Leonard that led to the game being abandoned last weekend.

We are still waiting to learn the full extent of Rebecca's injury and continue to send her our best wishes.

Lee Atkinson has echoed what he said in the build-up to last weekend's game, saying that his side have their eyes set on reaching their first final.

"We know what's at stake," said Atkinson.

"We really want to reach the final and have that to look forward to.

"Atherton are a very good side, who could comfortably play a division higher.

"We'll need to be at our best.

"We do have quite a few injuries. We've also got a couple of players who are cup-tied.

"With Rebecca, we're still waiting to learn the full picture and see the full extent of her injury. She'll be a big miss for us.

"However, I know that the team that I select on the day will give it everything, and hopefully that will be enough to win us the game."

The game will once again be taking place at Crilly Park, with kick-off at 2pm.
