Saturday’s Vanarama National League game at home to Wealdstone has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
The frost covers have been down on the playing surface since last Friday, as part of the club’s efforts to protect the pitch from sub-zero temperatures.
However, with further snowfall overnight and temperatures not forecast to rise early enough to thaw the surface sufficiently, both clubs agreed for an independent match official to carry out an inspection, who deemed the pitch unplayable.
Dale and Wealdstone were also mindful to call the inspection in good time, in order to notify both sets of supporters at the earliest opportunity.
A rearranged date for the fixture will be confirmed in due course. Any match tickets purchased will be eligible for the new date. Supporters can request a refund on tickets bought once a new date for the game has been confirmed.
