Louie Moulden has been recalled by parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The goalkeeper will now join League One side Northampton Town until the end of the season.
Moulden joined in the summer on a season-long loan, but Wolves have exercised a January recall clause in the deal.
The 22-year-old made 29 appearances for Dale in total, assisting five goals and keeping six clean sheets.
