Dale Women are in Greater Manchester Women's Football League action this Sunday as they host Athletico Middleton Ladies.
Lee Atkinson’s side had their game at West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC Women’s Reserves last weekend postponed due to an unplayable pitch.
The last time that the Dale Women were in action was their quarter-final penalty shootout win against Atherton Laburnum Rovers Ladies in the Greater Manchester League Challenge Cup.
Dale have already faced Athletico Middleton Ladies this season, beating them 2-1 in the League Premier Cup thanks to an own goal and Shannon Gill’s late winner.
Atkinson is looking forward to this weekend’s fixture: “It’s another huge game for us to look forward to.
“We played Middleton in the cup before, so we know how we need to prepare with this one.
“They are a team with threats all over the pitch, so we’ll have to be at our best.
“We are still missing a few key players, but I’m confident in the squad that we have, and I know that if we can reach the levels that we are able to, then we are able to beat any team in the division,” finished the Dale Women’s Manager.
Kick-off on Sunday at Kingsway Park High School [Turf Hill Road, Rochdale OL16 4XA] is at 1.30pm.
