We are looking for SIA licensed Door Supervisors to work non-matchday events at the Crown Oil Arena.

Rochdale AFC cater for various functions across our range of bars throughout the year and we are looking for individuals who can support the Bar Manager to ensure that everyone enjoys their visit to the Crown Oil Arena.

Events and functions are booked on an ad-hoc basis – we are open to onboarding several suitable candidates and operating on a Rota basis if a single suitable candidate is unable to commit to cover all our needs.

JOB TITLE: Door Supervisor

REPORTING TO: Bar Manager

LOCATION: Crown Oil Arena

HOURS: Casual

REMUNERATION: Competitive

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Check ID/age verification.
  • Screen people in and out of the establishment they oversee.
  • Work to avoid conflicts from happening and deal with them if they do.
  • Escort people out if required.
  • Check tickets and manage queues and crowds.
  • Cooperate with first aiders and the police when necessary.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIALS

  • SIA Door Supervisor License.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Being patient, always thinking and acting in a sensible way.
  • Being responsive and physically fit to address any challenges.
  • Having the ability to anticipate.
  • Having full knowledge of public safety and security.
  • Having customer service skills.
  • Being able to stand for long working hours and in various environments.
  • Being able to handle stressful situations and remaining calm at all times.

From time to time, the successful applicant may be asked to assist with activity essential to club operations that is not outlined in the above day to day duties. The successful applicant must carry out his/her duties with due regard for Rochdale Association Football Club Limited policies and procedures, and act in the best interest of Rochdale Association Football Club Limited at all times.
