On Tuesday April 25th 2023, the Board of Directors published a response to a statement by Chris Dunphy, which he shared on social media immediately after the conclusion of the Stockport County away fixture on Saturday April 22nd 2023, offering to invest in Rochdale AFC.
In the Board of Directors response, a further update was promised no later than Wednesday May 10th 2023.
As many supporters will be aware, on Sunday April 30th 2023, in a follow up statement, Chris Dunphy withdrew his offer of potential investment. As such, the conditions set out in the Board of Directors response have not been met.
Since that date, discussions have continued to be undertaken with several parties, all of whom have Non-Disclosure Agreements in place. The stated aim of the Board is to secure additional investment into the club at the earliest opportunity, but that any investor must meet the aforementioned conditions.
