Goals For A Cure | Matty Done Confirmed

Matty Done is the latest player to be confirmed in Goals For A Cure.

‘Doney’, who made 310 appearances for the club, will be making his first return to the Crown Oil Arena after leaving the club last summer.

Former Dale men Chris Dagnall and Nathan Stanton will also feature in the Joe Thompson XI, which will take on a Celebrity All Stars XI at the Crown Oil Arena on Monday 29th May (kick-off 2pm).

Money raised from the game will be donated to the Christie and Souriyat across borders. There will also be chances to win signed shirts before the game as well as at half-time.

Alongside Dale legend Joey T will be former Dale youth player Bader Al-Akkad, who himself is a cancer survivor and is collaborating with Joe Thompson on the event. Bader, like Joe, has just beaten Hodgkin's Lymphoma and is aiming to give back to fellow cancer patients.

As well as Done, Dagnall and Stanton, a host of former Dale players have also been confirmed so far, including Tom Kennedy, Simon Ramsden, Adam Rundle and plenty more.

Former Manchester City stars Joleon Lescott and Nedum Onuoha will line-up for the Celebrities,
