Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Owen Dodgson from Championship side Burnley.
The left-back joins Dale on loan until the end of the season.
Jim Bentley is pleased to bring the former Manchester United academy player to the club.
“Owen is a good player who is, again, highly thought of at his parent club,” said the gaffer.
“He trains regularly with the first team at Burnley and is another player with plenty of potential.
“We have watched him numerous times this season and he has good qualities that we are looking for.”
Dodgson began life in Manchester United’s academy, before signing for Burnley in November 2020.
He signed his first professional contract with the Clarets in the summer of 2021, making his debut in a third round FA Cup tie the following January.
The 19-year-old made a number of Premier League squads towards the end of last season, before signing a new three-year deal at Turf Moor in the summer.
