Fit Dale Returns This January

A new Fit Dale programme begins the week commencing Monday 16th January, with both female and male cohorts!

The female cohort takes place on Mondays at 7pm, with the men's cohort at 6.30pm on Thursdays.

The most recent men’s programme came to an end after a fantastic 12 weeks. We would like to say a huge congratulations to the men who lost a combined total of 50.1kg.

The men participated in educational workshops around creating a healthier lifestyle, tried new sports, and participated in physical activity each week.

The group worked hard and supported each other throughout the process, enjoying a relaxed and informal environment whilst still creating healthy habits to help sustain their improved lifestyle.

For some, the programme was about weight loss, whilst others wanted to improve their physical fitness. However, a common theme across the group was a shared goal of togetherness and the group formed a great bond.


Some great friendships were formed, and the group are now making plans to continue meeting up in 2023 to continue their health journey.

We asked the men to describe the programme in one word – here are some of their responses:

  • Inspiring.
  • Enjoyable.
  • Motivational.
  • Educational.
  • Energising.

We also asked the group what they have learnt or changed whilst on the programme:

  • How to reduce takeaway consumption.
  • Improved portion control.
  • To be honest within themselves.

The programme involves 90-minute weekly sessions, split into 45 minutes of lifestyle education and 45 minutes of physical activity.

It is proven to help people achieve significant long-term improvements in weight loss, physical activity, diet, and psychological wellbeing.

In total, the programme is for 12 weeks. The healthy lifestyles section focuses on a different topic every week and the exercise will vary in activities, but it is all done to suit your own ability and fitness levels.

It’s a great programme be part of, and the social aspect is great. There will also be a WhatsApp group throughout the programme to help support each other.
