Rochdale Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of D’Mani Mellor from Wycombe Wanderers.
The forward joins on loan from the League One outfit until the end of the season.
Mellor is a product of the Manchester United academy, joining the Premier League giants at the age of eight, before moving to Wycombe last summer.
Speaking on his new recruit, Jim Bentley commented:
“D’Mani has had a fantastic upbringing at Manchester United and was highly thought of there, as he is at Wycombe.
“He’s a great athlete who works extremely hard and has loads of potential. You must be a good player if you’ve played in Manchester United’s first team!
“I’m sure he can help us at the top end of the pitch and be a player our fans will appreciate.”
Having joined the Red Devils as a youngster, Mellor went to make his United debut in a Europa League tie away to FC Astana in November 2019.
The 22-year-old spent time on loan at Salford City last season, before signing for Wycombe Wanderers on a permanent deal in the summer of last year.
He has made 12 appearances for the Chairboys so far, scoring the winning goal in their EFL Cup tie at Northampton Town in August.
