Her Game Too Dedicated Fixture Today

31 August 2023

Rochdale Football Club and Rochdale AFC Community Trust are delighted to confirm that today’s game against FC Halifax Town will be our dedicated ‘Her Game Too’ fixture.

The Club has been a partner of the Her Game Too campaign since October 2021, and held its first dedicated matchday back in March 2022.

Today's fixture will be used to reaffirm our support of the campaign, which aims to highlight sexist abuse that continues to take place in football, as well as engaging with local female grassroots team, to send the message that Rochdale Football Club is open to all.

Players from both the Rochdale AFC Women's Open Age team and our Ladies teams will be involved, as flag bearers, ball crew and taking part in a half-time game on the pitch.

Rochdale AFC Community Trust have also invited a number of Grassroots Ladies teams from across the borough to today's fixture, and there will be an all-female playlist over the PA at the Crown Oil Arena.

We have asked our First Team players which females in their life they will be playing for this weekend - this video can be viewed on our social media pages.

We will also be highlighting next weekend's Women's FA Cup Qualifying tie taking place at the Crown Oil Arena between Dale and MSB Woolton.
