Tyrese Sinclair has been recalled from his loan spell at National League side Altrincham.
The forward joined The Robins at the beginning of February, and scored five goals in 11 league matches.
He also helped Altrincham reach the semi-final of the FA Trophy during his time at the J Davidson Stadium.
The 22-year-old will be available for all five of Dale's remaining games this season.
Interim Manager Jim McNulty commented: "The way we play, the way I want us to play and the way I see the game, I really think Tyrese can help us in that last line.
"He always has an impact and he’s got qualities that I think I can harness to help the team. It will be helpful in the run-in to have anyone available that I think can help us in our fight against relegation."
