Shoulder To Shoulder

4 November 2022

We are proud to display Rochdale AFC Community Trust’s logo on our first team shirt sleeve for this weekend’s Emirates FA Cup tie at Bristol Rovers.

The Community Trust, who are nominated for an award at the North-West Football Awards this coming Monday, have recently published their bumper 2021 Impact Report, showcasing a fantastic year working across the Borough. Click HERE to view.

Delivering programmes in sport, health, inclusion, educational and employability, the charity also supports the official Rochdale AFC Community clubs, collectively known as Our Teams.

Community Director Ryan Bradley commented: “Over 300 players a week turn out across Rochdale AFC Ladies, Walking Football, Ability Counts, Sports College and Military Veterans teams, proudly wearing the Dale badge on their chest.

“To have the first team wear the Community logo this week is fantastic and I’m sure Jim and the lads will give it their all.”

Simon Gauge, Rochdale AFC Chairman and trustee of Rochdale AFC Community Trust, added: “We are proud to be a community club and proud of the work of our Community Trust.

“The charity carries out a tremendous amount of work with hard-to-reach communities, helping to make the Borough a better place to live, work and play.

“We are delighted to use the FA Cup sleeve sponsorship to highlight and draw attention to their work and achievements.”

Following Saturday’s fixture, the unique, one-off shirts will be auctioned by matchwornshirts.com, with the proceeds going towards Rochdale AFC’s work in the community.
