TVOS Preview | Bristol Rovers

28 April 2022

Rochdale AFC’s matchday programme – The Voice of Spotland – is back for Saturday’s Sky Bet League Two fixture against Bristol Rovers.

The programme took a break during the behind closed doors 2020/21 campaign, but has returned this season with 76 jam-packed pages to keep readers completely informed and entertained.

TVOS starts with a front cover image of Dale defender Jim McNulty, who made his 226th appearance for the club at Exeter last Saturday.

Manager Robbie Stockdale reflects on what he has learned this season, while Countdown to Kick-Off looks back at the past ten months, including when some Dale-related news was received on a steam train in Skipton!

After that we have a host of features, including:

SHIRT NUMBERS, HEAVEN & HELL – A feature looking at players who wore shirt numbers that didn’t suit their position in 2016/17.

ON THIS DAY – What were Dale doing in the past on 30th April?

100 YEARS IN THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE – The final instalment of the series looking back at Dale’s debut Football League campaign in 1921/22.

COVER STAR – Looking at when former Dale defender Craig Dawson was featured on the cover of a Watford programme.

We also have our regular League Two round-up and opinion pages from Brian Quigley, Scrutator and Dave Pearson, while Charlotte and Isabelle bring us the female perspective in The Dale Way.

Action photos appear from the games against Crawley Town and Carlisle United, while the Commercial and Sponsorship departments at the club update readers with their latest news.

Josh Andrews reveals who is the best opponent he has faced and we have our regular historical pages looking at Dale’s results in this week in the past.

Bristol Rovers aren’t left out and get plenty of coverage, including a round-up of their current form, player profiles and historical connections between Dale and The Gas.

All this and much, much more will be in Saturday’s The Voice of Spotland, on sale in the Club Shop and around the ground, priced £3.00.
