The Youth Team’s winning run came to an end after a 1-0 defeat at Shrewsbury Town on Saturday.
Both sides exchanged chances in the first-half, with Ethan Brierley and Jordan Scanlon going close for Dale, and Brad Kelly turning an effort over the bar at the other end.
The winning goal came shortly after the break, with a neat finish to the far post from the right side of the area.
Dale had a number of chances to equalise, including Scanlon hitting the bar and Luke Nock having a penalty saved, but they couldn’t find a route to goal.
