Communications Plus are supporting the move to get people back into employment by providing free Samsung tablets to allow access to a unique employability course led by Rochdale AFC Community Trust.
Dale Works is an ESF/WEA funded project that will provide unique training for those looking to get back into employment.
Delivered fully online, the twelve sessions are themed around interesting topics such as resilience building, personal branding and building relationships, rather than the traditional CV writing and interview techniques.
Communications Plus, a business to business telecoms provider with 21 O2 franchise stores ,have a strong record of supporting numerous charities around the North West, have provided Samsung tablets full loaded with unlimited data so people without the right tech can get online and participate.
Steve Harrison, Business Development Manager at the O2 Business Centre in Rainford, commented: "We love to give back where we can and through a chance discussion we heard that Rochdale AFC Community Trust needed support with their new employability programme.
"We managed to identify the right hardware and were quickly able to donate the batch of Samsung tablets that will remove another barrier and help people get back into work following the pandemic.”
Ryan Bradley, Community Director, added: "I’ve known Steve for a few years and he’s always doing something for some charity - he’s just one of those guys that wants to help.
"We are really grateful for the support from Communications Plus and can’t wait to get the Dale Works project up and running."
