Fundraise For Community

Rochdale AFC Community Trust need fundraisers to support them on their mission to make Rochdale a better place to Live, Work & Play.

Rochdale AFC’s official charity currently deliver a plethora of projects to over 15,000 people annually, but are looking to raise funds to deliver even more!

A junior disability football team and a schools mental health programme are two new programmes that need funding to launch, with expansion in current projects such as Dale vs Hunger and Military Veterans Programme as well as our community teams such as Rochdale AFC Ladies all looking for funds to grow.

The first fundraising event of the season for Team Rochdale is the Tough Mudder event at Cholmondeley Castle on Saturday 4th September. 

The 10 mile event sees participants wade through mud and obstacles such as Arctic Enema, Shock Therapy and Everest! Physically demanding but extremely rewarding! 

Dale will take a team of 15 runners to the event, plus support crew. In addition to all of the rewards provided by the event, Minibus transport to and from the event is included as well as a running vest/t-shirt and a weekly group training programme.

Sign up fee is £100 with participants asked to fundraise a further £100 to participate.

Also on the fundraising calendar is the Williams BMW Rochdale 10k, which takes place on Sunday 3rd October.

A staple in the local events calendar, Dale fans can take to the start line alongside club mascot Desmond the Dragon, wearing our specially commissioned race vest/T-shirt.

A ‘couch to 5k’ training programme, featuring weekly exercise and group runs will ensure everyone who signs up for Team Rochdale achieves their goals - whether that be a PB or just a finish!

Sign up costs £20 with participants asked to fundraise a further £50 to participate.

Full fundraising support is available for all of our participants, including set up of a JustGiving account, sponsorship forms, football cards and a raffle prize.

Rochdale AFC Community Trust are a registered charity with a mission to make Rochdale a better place to Live, Work and Play.

All funds raised will be used on the charity's objectives, which include our community teams (RAFC Ladies, Military Vets etc), disability sessions, schools programmes, cohesion work, mental health programmes, employability and work with those who are socially isolated amongst others.
