Rochdale Football Club is delighted to announce that Brad Kelly has signed his first professional contract.
The 17-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a two-year deal.
Brad who has been at the club since he was 13 told www.rochdaleafc.co.uk: “I was absolutely delighted to be offered my first professional contract and I’m buzzing to have signed it, as are my Dad and the rest of my family. It came as a bit of surprise, so I was really excited.
“When you first join the Academy or you get the chance to train with the first team, getting a professional contract is what you think of and what you’re aiming for. It’s what you work hard towards and it feel likes a massive achievement.
“Jay [Lynch] and Brad [Wade] have been brilliant with me and they’ve been a big help. Everyone in the team has been really good with me and I’m really grateful for that.
“Training is much tougher than what I’ve been used to with the youth team but I’m enjoying it and I know that it can only help me improve me every day. This is just the start and I’m going to keep on working hard.”
