Rochdale AFC First Team Sports Therapist
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the first team medical department at Rochdale AFC.
As First Team Sports Therapist, you will work within an extensive multi-disciplinary team to provide treatment and rehabilitation to first team players with the aim of achieving the highest level of care possible.
The successful candidate will have an understanding of the principles of rehabilitation strategies and have experience working with athletes within a sports setting. They should have some experience of manual therapy and soft tissue techniques. They should also have some understanding of daily medical screening and injury prevention strategies.
The key attributes the successful candidate should possess are effective communication skills, organisation and a willingness to learn. They will be required to manage their own caseload and maintain up to date medical notes.
The role will involve a commitment to working unsociable hours as they will be required to work matchdays home and away.

The key requirements of the role are:
- Assist with the treatment and rehabilitation of first team players
- Provide pitch-side support for training and matches
- Deliver Pitch side support and treatment to integration squad players
- Work alongside the MDT to deliver holistic care
- Contribute to a monthly CPD schedule
- Manage and organise Medical equipment/stock
Essential criteria
Sports Therapy/Rehabilitation degree
Desirable
Experience working in a professional sporting environment, preferably football
Experience in pitch side first aid (EFAiF, ITMiFF, ATMMiF qualified)
Full UK driving licence
The successful candidate will report to the Head of First Team Medical Services
Hours of work: 37.5 plus additional as required to meet the needs of the service
Contractual status: Permanent
