The Dale in the Community Trust have launched a new initiative, giving away FREE footballs to children in Rochdale.
Call for a Ball is aimed at giving youngsters the opportunity to keep active during lockdown, either by taking up the beautiful game for the first time or by keeping on top of their skills with fun activities.

Community Director Ryan Bradley commented: “It is children’s mental health awareness week and we know there are kids out there who are really struggling with lockdown.
“Through our partnership with the Premier League, we have secured a number of mini footballs to give out to people across the Rochdale borough, and we have also published some fun activities on our social media channels that children can try in their living rooms, gardens or local park to keep active.
“We hope to get back to delivering our activities soon but for now it’s just a case of doing what we can and staying positive”
