Lee Riley Departs

19 August 2021

Rochdale Football Club can confirm that Lee Riley has left the club.

He departs after seven years of service across the Academy and First Team, and we wish him every success in the future.

Riley first joined Dale in 2014 and worked across various youth levels. He played a key role in the success of the Academy, having helped develop players including Daniel Adshead, Ethan Brierley, Luke Matheson and Aaron Morley.

His success with the club’s Academy saw him progress through the ranks and he was promoted to the First Team in the summer of 2019, joining Brian Barry-Murphy’s backroom staff as Assistant Manager.

The 31-year-old departs with our best wishes and thanks for his excellent service to the club over many years.

Manager Robbie Stockdale said: "I would like to thank Lee for his professionalism and hard work during my time at the club, and I wish him all the best for the future."
