EFL Season Launch - Fans Meet Manager Robbie Stockdale & Captain Eoghan O'Connell

3 August 2021

We were thrilled to welcome a group of fans to the Crown Oil Arena, as part of the EFL’s 2021/22 Season Launch celebrations.

The supporters, who are all participants on the many teams/ groups that Rochdale AFC Community Trust operate, met Manager Robbie Stockdale, Captain Eoghan O’Connell and Chairman Simon Gauge.

Director Murray Knight - the Supporters Trust representative on the Board - was also in attendance, as was the club’s Supporter Liaison Officer, Nicola Toolan. Meanwhile, our groundstaff were also on hand to chat about the work they’ve been doing to prepare the pitch for the upcoming season.

The Gaffer spoke about his time at the club so far and answered the many questions put to him, while Eoghan reflected on a season without the fans and how much he and the rest of the players are looking forward to seeing supporters back at the Crown Oil Arena.

The representatives from the Community Trust’s Ability Counts team, Walking Football, Rochdale AFC Ladies and Fit Dale were also treated to a tour of the tunnel area and dressing room during their afternoon at the club.

Dale’s first home game of the 2021/22 campaign is on Saturday 14th August when we welcome Scunthorpe United to the Crown Oil Arena. Tickets for the fixture are on sale now. Click HERE to buy yours online.
