Rochdale AFC Academy EDS programme is holding an open day to all aspiring players who wish to enhance their future both on and off the pitch.
As the most successful Academy EDS programme over the last six years, with over 70 players playing non-league and five grassroots players becoming full time professional footballers, we have the expertise, the knowledge and the personnel to create the most enjoyable and life changing pathway available in the area.
The football opportunities are full-time and we offer a six day a week training and playing schedule that includes up to 50 games per season, representing Rochdale AFC Academy EDS in leagues with professional football clubs, non-league clubs and a chance to play in the FA Youth Cup. We are partnered with non-league clubs to allow pathways for football at all levels. Creating skill sets for life to ensure the greatest opportunity to succeed.
Educationally we have received good and outstanding from OFSTED on the last reports meaning we are able to offer the highest quality of education for all students. As we are so successful with our education teaching we can offer three different courses to cater for all students, their current level of study and future pathway development to allow progression. A level 3 extended diploma (three A level equivalent), a Level 3 diploma (two A level equivalent) and Level 2 (one A level equivalent). This allows our staff to deliver the highest level of education to further the development of all young people and their goals to succeed.
We deliver a degree in sport too, allowing us to offer a four or five-year scholarship programme to all students and players who wish to work and play in paid football. Not only our degree but working with our partners we offer pathways to America, Canada, Australia and into Europe for both education and football. Providing the opportunity to continue life skills, pathway development and a career.
We are the most successful Academy EDS scholarship as we provide the necessary skills to succeed. As we are part of the Academy, over the last two seasons 14 players have entered into youth teams as their development has been so high we have moved them forward for success.
