The Youth Team were 4-2 winners over Bolton Wanderers in the EFL Youth Alliance League on Saturday.
Dale took an early lead but fell behind shortly after the break. However, three second-half goals saw them turn the game on its head to claim all three points.
Joe Wright opened the scoring in the ninth minute, turning home Peter Thomas’ low cross-shot at the far post.
The hosts equalised three minutes later with a close-range volley, before taking the lead five minutes into the second period through a near-post header from a corner.
Dale restored parity just a minute later though, when Thomas collected a ball over the top and finished coolly from a tight angle.
Jordan Scanlon put Dale back in front six minutes later, sending a crisp drive into the bottom corner from a ten-yards out.
The scoring was complete in the 67th minute. A long ball forward was controlled by Wright who was then brought down, but the ball fell kindly for Kacper Mialkowski, who sent a clinical finish into the bottom corner.
The win was Dale’s second in succession, meaning they have claimed six points from their opening three league games.
