Two of Dale’s newest recruits, Tolaji Bola and Haydon Roberts, went along to meet supporters taking part in the Dale in the Community Trust’s Fit Fans sessions last week.
On the eve of new lockdown restrictions coming into force, the duo spoke to the group about their careers so far and passed on information and tips about their approach to healthy living, including nutrition, diet and rest and recovery. They also spoke about heir time at Rochdale so far.
Supporters have taken a lot away from the visit, which has had an extremely positive impact, with those at the session praising the lads’s commitment to attend the night after a long trip Oxford United.
Wayne Whitlow, said: “I spoke with two of Rochdale on loan defenders last night when they came along to our Fit Fans course at the Dale. They spoke brilliantly and intelligently about healthy living. A lovely level headed pair who both love the club.”
Last Wednesday’s session was the group’s last face-to-face meeting. Due to the latest Coronavirus restrictions, the Fit Fans session is now moving online to ensure participants can finish the course and continue to receive help and advice from the Community Trust coaches.
