'School Of The Week' Launches For 2019/20

27 September 2019

Rochdale Football Club and the Dale in the Community Sports Trust are delighted to announce the return of ‘School of the Week’, following the success of last season’s initiative.

The 'School of the Week' initiative is aimed at introducing more children to the matchday experience at the Crown Oil Arena.

To launch this season's programme, Dale players Ollie Rathbone and Callum Camps went along to Healey Primary School earlier this week to meet the pupils there. The youngsters there had the chance to put their burning questions to the duo, as part of a special Q+A.

Healey, along with Caldershaw Primary School, have been issued over 550 free tickets collectively for Saturday’s match against Wycombe Wanderers, with thousands of free tickets set to be given away to youngsters throughout the season.

Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from both schools will act as flag bearers on the day of the match, while others will get involved in a 5-a-side game on the pitch at half time against the opposing school.

The kids, along with their friends and family, will also be joined by Rochdale AFC Ladies teams in the Willbutts Lane Stand, with over 100 free tickets being issued by the community to their women's section.
