Players Volunteer At Mission Christmas Warehouse

11 December 2019

We’ve been delighted to, once again, take part in Hits Radio’s Cash For Kids’ Mission Christmas Toy Appeal this year.

As part of our support to the appeal, every first team player has visited the Mission Christmas warehouse in Stockport to volunteer their services.

The warehouse contains thousands of toys that have been donated, which must be sorted into appropriate age groups.

Volunteers are then given a list of age groups which they need to find presents for. They must fill a bag with the relevant toys, without going over their given budget, which will then be sent to those children.

One in three children are in danger of waking up to no presents on Christmas Day. There’s still time to donate and we have a drop off point in the Main Reception at the Crown Oil Arena. Monday 16th December will be the last day for donations.

Watch the freeview video at the top of this page to see how the players got on during their visit and their views on how important the appeal is.
