Manager Brian Barry-Murphy admits that it was “very rewarding” to see 19-year-old Aaron Morley score his first senior goal and put in a Man of the Match performance against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
“Aaron played very, very well,” said BBM.
“He’s had a great pre-season. He had a great impact on the team a couple of seasons ago when he burst onto the scene and he’s been working very, very hard in our development games over the last two seasons, so he’s ready to play.
“He has a great standing in the dressing room and the players know how valuable he’s going to be for us. It was very rewarding for me to see him play so well, as I thought he would do, and he’s going to be a very exciting player for us.”
