Take a look at what the Dale In The Community Sports Trust have going on at Saturday's match against Southend United at the Crown Oil Arena…

 

MASCOTS

There are two mascots leading the teams out before kick-off on Saturday – Archie McLaren and Thomas Almond.

Archie turns eight next month and attends St Edward’s Primary School.

He is a regular at the Community Trust’s soccer sessions, and plays in goal for R-KIX.

Archie is a Season Ticket holder and his favourite player is Josh Lillis.

Thomas turns nine next month and lives in Norden with his mum, dad and older brother.

He attends Caldershaw Primary School and is also a Season Ticket holder, whose favourite player is Kgosi Ntlhe.

BIRTHDAY PARTY

Henry Collinge turns seven on the 18th May, and he is celebrating early with a Birthday Party at Saturday’s game!

He lives in Heywood and attends All Souls Primary School.

Henry also plays for Bridge Under-7s, and his teammates are also attending the game as flag bearers!

PRE-MATCH

To celebrate the 25th year of the Kick It Out campaign, the Community Trust have invited community groups from across Rochdale to take part in a small-sided tournament on the five-a-side pitch before the game.

Look out for the presentation of the Community Cohesion Cup trophies to the winners of the competition which took place last month.

 

FLAG BEARERS

Almost 200 youngsters from junior football Clubs in the local area will be flag bearers before kick-off on Saturday!

They will line the Crown Oil Arena pitch and welcome the players out of the tunnel. Click HERE to find out who the teams are.

 

HALF-TIME CHALLENGE MATCH
