Ahead of Tuesday night’s Checkatrade Trophy tie against Bury, we take a look back at last season’s meeting between the sides in the competition.
Dale ran out 4-0 winners at the Energy Check Stadium at Gigg Lane, in a game that made club history, as Daniel Adshead became Dale’s youngest ever debutant at the age of 16 years and 17 days.
Joe Bunney opened the scoring after 12 minutes, before Adshead provided the assist for Bradden Inman to double Dale’s lead.
Inman made it three before half-time and Ian Henderson rounded off the scoring with a fourth after the break.
