Rochdale AFC are looking to recruit an Apprentice Groundsman to work within their Grounds team.
Under supervision, the main responsibilities of this role are: To carry out the routine preparation and maintenance of the Crown Oil Arena pitch and training surfaces.
There is an expectation that the successful candidate will work towards achieving the following qualifications: NVQ level 1 and 2 in Sports Turf, plus any other relevant education courses.
As part of the Grounds team, you need to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all colleagues. You will need to follow the health and safety regulations surrounding the control of the chemicals and substances used within the department.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours a week. You will be expected to work matchdays and weekends and will be expected to work flexibly within the existing team to suit the needs of the business.
The salary for the role will be dependent on your skills, experience and current qualifications. The role is based at Crown Oil Arena and at the Training Ground. You may also be required to complete contracting work around the UK.
