Ryan Delaney was named on the bench as one of seven substitutes by the Republic of Ireland U21s for their Euro 2019 qualifier on Tuesday night.
The Dale defender was an unused sub, as Noel King’s side scored a 96th minute winner against Azerbaijan to record a 1-0 victory at the Tallaght Stadium.
The win moves the Republic of Ireland within three points of Group 5 leaders Germany, having played a game less.
