Connor Randall says he is delighted to have joined Rochdale and is looking forward to his time at the Crown Oil Arena.
The 22-year-old has joined on loan from Premier League side Liverpool FC until January 2019.
“When I heard about the move I was keen to come over and get it done,” said Randall.
“It’s gone quite quickly, so I’m very happy to get it completed. Hopefully, whilst I’m here I can impress and get as much game time as possible.”
He will join up with the squad on Friday ahead of the weekend’s Sky Bet League One game against Walsall, and he is hoping to hit the ground running.
“That’s where you make your first impression [in training]. You’ve got to do well in training to get yourself in the team and it’s vitally important to do so.”
Randall is currently house sharing with MJ Williams, who he knows from his time at Liverpool.
“He’s a good mate of mine and I also know Joe Rafferty, which makes it easier coming into a new team, when you know someone.
“I’ve spoken to him [MJ] about the club and he speaks very highly of the players and the staff. He’s told me there’s a lot of great players here, so I’ve got to prove what I can do in training to get myself in the team.
“I’ve seen a couple of the games already this season and there’s been some good football, so I think the style of play will suit me.
He spent last season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Hearts, where he made 27 appearances.
“It was fantastic, I really enjoyed it and got some good games under my belt.
“That’s what you want to do as a player, you want to be playing games and enjoying your football, so hopefully I can do that in the time that I’m here as well.”
