Premier League Kicks Team Face Fleetwood Town At Pool Foot Farm

20 August 2018

Rochdale AFC’s Premier League Kicks side took on their Fleetwood Town counterparts on Saturday morning at Pool Foot Farm.

The match was played in good spirits and despite the hosts coming out on top, the players enjoyed their day, which was rounded off by watching Dale’s 2-2 draw at Fleetwood in the afternoon.

Dale Directors David Bottomley and John Smallwood were also there to cheer the lads on, before heading to Highbury Stadium.

Premier League Kicks, which is funded by the Premier League Community Foundation, is one of the Premier League’s flagship community programmes, using the appeal and reach of Rochdale AFC to engage with young people through sports.

Everyone between the age of 12-19 are welcome to the sessions. There is no need to book in advance, simply turn up on the evening. The sessions help to improve behaviour, focus and self-esteem amongst participants and across the Rochdale borough.
